Uni of Society.. Very old & most trustworthy Uni in the whole world.. There are always very good lessons and points to learn.. What is your collection? I have a few to share just in a short month.. It is helpful to me as I am also leading a very small group ensuring the operation is running and everything are checked.. Let me share now..
Lesson 1 : Don't shut other out totally
Everyone will be busy at some point of the time.. Always have endless deadline and urent things to rush out.. But it does not give good reason to shut people out totally.. You can ask the person to wait but be sure to heard them out 1st.. Especially if you are the Manager.. Try to listen to their problem and if it is really not as urgent as your things, then tell them nicely that you will come back to them later.. If possible, give them a date so that they can check with you when you forget..
Lesson 2 : Try not to look stress
Stress is always with each of us.. No matter you like it or not, it is always there.. Sometime these are the energy to keep us going.. But showing it on your face, make people feel that you are very busy and dont wish to be distrub.. That keep people a distance from you.. Result of it, team member dont dare to check with things with you..
Lesson 3 : Train and Let it Fly
Training new people up and let them fly at the correct time.. When the staff has proven to you that they can perform their task well and fully understood their roles and responsiblity then it is time to let them fly.. When they fly, you still can do suprise check on their work.. Give them your best trust and free yourself out..
